Description

Abu Simbel Temple in Aswan (south of Cairo) is one of the most famous archaeological temples in Egypt.
The importance of the Great Abu Simbel Temple is due to its association with the phenomenon of the sun’s rays falling directly on the face of the statue of Pharaoh Ramses II twice a year, the first time on October 22 and the second time on February 22 of each year.
